The sad part is how many average morons out there actually read this and bleat a little and think "whew, glad they rounded up this bunch of extremists! They're dangerous!":realmad:

The clever wording of the ADL fella infers that only extremist groups (who are neither peaceful nor law-abiding) would have such "enormous" arsenals. First bit of spin is the "enormous arsenal" which isn't very enormous, but saying so puts into readers' minds the thoughts of huge piles of evil, dangerous ammo. Second is how they make "extremist gropus" synonymous with owning ammo, and third is to imply that law-abiding citizens don't need ammo, and are peaceful, while extremist ammo-owning groups are not, but are dangerous risks living among us that we must fear and keep down.

Pay careful attention to their words. What's that quote about those who control the language control the people/nation?

Too bad many "good-intentioned" folks out there are just clueless, and buy right into this sort of crap.

Former WSB-TV political reporter Bill Nigut, who left journalism three years ago for high-browed culture, has a new job.
He�ll be director of the Southern regional office of the Anti-Defamation League in Atlanta. The ADL focuses on fighting anti-Semitism and racism. Nigut�s territory will be Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Nigut, a 20-year veteran of local TV, most recently served as head of the Metro Atlanta Arts and Culture Coalition, a public-private partnership aimed at bringing a little joy into our humdrum lives.

I enjoyed viewing Bill Nigut�s reports on Georgia politics. He is a great human being who exemplifies the best in journalism. The League is lucky to acquire someone with his talents.

Congrats to ADL for a fine choice in leadership. Nigut has a great deal of credibility in the community and those of us who worked with him on his Capitol newsbeat will be happy to see him back on the scene. Although these are tough states in which to do his work, he�s up to the job.

Yeah really, if they call that a huge arms raid I hope they never come in my house.

Since when was it illegal to buy ammunition in bulk? I just don't get it... Why bother mentioning they had 2,500 round of ammo? Did the article also describe what make/model/year automobile each militia member drives? 2-door or 4-door? Front wheel drive? All irrelevant details to the only crime that seems to be committed which was possession of fireworks and fireworks materials (grenades) without a license.

And really, WTF does the ADL have to do with this? Why the hell does the ADL have their nose in this? Talk about over-stepping your authority... (err, ADL has no authority actually)

Not at all unusual - it always seems to be this way. Especially when they discover 'terror' groups in the US. Some of them end up being FEDS or informants. Joining a militia is a good way to get yourself screwed by the federal government.

To give the heroic Feds their due ....."During the raid, agents recovered 130 hand grenades, a grenade launcher, about 70 hand grenades rigged to be fired from a rifle, a machine gun" Finding this stuff certainly makes them look like the money expended on the Federal Agents and their Gear is well spent.

If the Feds instigate breaking the law......Lets get some illegal stuff for our Militia type thing. Aren't they guilty of entrapment and blow their case?

Since when does the ADL have any authority to speak on criminal matters or aid law enforcement. I just don't get it (actually, I do, but I can't believe the sheeple don't care).

What kind of sissy charge is that? Five guys get together and say, "Hey, let's build a gun!" And that is illegal? This seems to indicate that they DIDN'T actually MAKE the firearm. But why is it even illegal to build a gun? I thought it was legal as long as you didn't sell it.

1) The ADL piece says them men were going to attack Mexicans, but yet the Washington Post article says this:

2) Since when did being a "Sovereign Citizen" equate to being an "Extremist" that needs to be monitored by the ADL?

As the police state develops watch the definition of an arsenal get smaller and smaller. In ten years an arsenal will be a revolver and a box of ammo.
